the fella told me it is 10 years ago, but he nvr tells me the exact place where the fish come from... but obviously this guy from malaysia

no doubt the flowers are not full, the bands are well organized. colouration of this fish is also nice

I think it Malaysian Spec.

This was mine before I sold it to a colleague. Very nice speciment. This is wild caught speciment from Sumatera, Indonesia. Have to let him go as space needed for other fishes. I used to hand feed him with frog . Now mising him so much

No prob. Just to help you guys for the origin of this speciment

I still keep some SH, but smaller ones. I Keep some lucius and channa bankanensis. Doest require so much space. I use the space for some mahseer and jumbo clown loach and small chitala lopis.

The maruliodes was 77-80 cm long. Probably the most beautiful speciment I ever had for SH. I used to have another maruliodes, wild caught from borneo but coloration and flower was not as good as this speciment.

I will ask the current owner to update those guys (both were sold to him). I think He's also member of MKF. The ID is hampala

Later on if i build another big tank, surely I will keep this species. If I name SH species that I ever want to keep, maruliodes comes in number two after the magnificent channa barca.

from i knew, male head will bigger than female, female body will fatter, and male has a good colour and flower compared with female..
