I have noticed people in that area don't like anything but that area. The whole vibe I got when I lived in Albany. "pff why do you want to goto Eugene? nothing but hippies! chicks can walk around with no shirts on."

Thats what people say about Eugene that are from the Albany/Corvallis/Lebanon area. Lived here almost a year and have not seen a single one. Lot of homeless and hippies but better than Albany by a long shot.
