My bads the media went into the 38... and the "Cycle" is providing ammonia for both tanks? Or the "Cultered media" is? Or did you add the comets already? Bear with me I can be kinda slow at times:D

All help is very appreciated!

I have added Bio-Stars to the 38 with the Media from the 125.

I Have added only cycle to the 55.

Will add the Comets Monday.....

Am I wasting the cycle in the 55 without any fish to provide ammonia??

Can the comets be used as feeders after being in my tank for a couple of weeks??

Would Guppys be a better choice? Rosies??

Again, Thank you for your help!!

How long ago did you add the media? It does need a souce of ammonia...afaik Cycle isn`t one. Depending on the amount of media you added you could have just added some fish you wanted.

Comets can be feeders... feed them good food. Not only are the store bought a source of disease most are emaciated and have very little nutritional value.

Sunday was Day 3, Ill add some small cons instead of the feeders, that way I can mix and match and get a good pair with my exsisting cons to add to the 20L....

Am I on the right track??

?? Is this the way to go??

i wouldent use comets to cycle a tank, they pee to much.you should use convicts,or even your oscar.there are lots of hardy cichlids that can cycle a tank better than feeders.my oscars,as well as my JD and cons, went into my tank the day after i filled it up.i had to get rid of one of them but the one i kept is my avatar.

3 Giant Danios in the 55 and a Red Tail Shark (thanks for the suggestion Peanut! I have been waiting for one big enough!) & 2 Giant D's in the 38......

I Don't want to add my Sajica or Sevs to the 38.....I would be scared to death...

and the 55 is going to be home to 4 Grammodes with the hope that I may get a pair out of it, if not then it will be home to a Grammode and whatever the Grammode decides he/she will tolerate........

Thoughts??
