Good luck with it. It shouldn't be too hard. Just make sure whatever you try to switch him on to floats. I've found that my aros at least taste pretty much anything small enough to eat that floats in the top of their tank. If it's food, they will get hungry enough to eat soon enough.

3 will be better, a good no is always 9 for chinese. Try adding other type of fishes (bigger size than your aro) to bring down its aggressiveness. Add a strong power head inside the tank can help to reduce the fighting too.
