Comm or not?

Hahaha thx for the advices bros! Really appreciated it. I think I will go for it an hope for the best! Hehe cuz I have 2 more 4 ft tank to use as a standby if someting should go wrong. :) and 1 last qn! There's 2 batch of aros for me to choose frm! 1st Batch 5th scale is halfway completed but have superb thick and nice body shape. 2nd batch. 5th level fully completed starting on 6 level. But they are
Smaller by1/2 a inch and have thinner and slimmer body. Which shld I go for? Both qualities are desired... Hahahaa if I choose the smaller ones. Isit possible that it would turn out having thick bodies if I pump and feed them well?

And yeah it's a growout tank. As I have read when you just start u shld not have too large a tank or they will have spaces for fight clubs and also find themselves each a territory and would defend it.. I want them to be swimming side by side not fighting whenever they see each other

i'd go for the 2nd batch but you should check the body shape, finnages, temper etc ... thick body can be acquired easily and in a comm they tend to eat anything you throw :D

Hey , just paid the deposits. The fishes in the 2nd batch have more fin damages as there is one bigger fish in there that bullies them. But the person collecting it next week while I I am collecting mine 2 weeks later. I have requested for the uncle to help me pump them so they would fit in my fish's size more and hopefully less damaged fins. The 1st batch fishes have much lesser torned fins .

with a aro comm you need to pack them in to make it work to much space means more fights start off with a 4x2x2 tank with 6 aros then upgrade when needed about 1 year

also dont get gold they fight more than reds reds also get much biggers so will also need a much bigger tank in the end

keep the lights dim this also cuts down on fights

with a aro comm its never pure happyness in the tank you will ALWAYS have fights and split fins thats just part of it

hi bros. just collected my aros today! :headbang2 they are still spooked out! hopefully they will grow big quickly!

pm me a link to the pics of these bad boys or a link to the progression thread, i love to watch a new comm start out, ,,,,,
hang in there if there is fights and a few torn fins, happens to me all the time but they heal quick
also how many did you get at least 5 of them? thats the only number for me that has worked
ive also found that a good couple of power heads and low lighting gets them used to each other, but this is just my experience and im no expert on aros,,,,,,,,just a big collector
have a good day and the best of luck with your golds

hey bro! thx for the advice! sure! i will post a thread on their progression! and now theres only 4 of them! the shopleft with 3 of them and imperial arowana farm will only have new stock maybe a week or 2 later! by then i will add in my 5th arowana and hopefully things works out! yeah i have researced alot about reducing aggressions and fights and have just started out! will take some pics now and post! :D
