Common fish that are hard to find

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
We have chains here mainly. There's one place that can order but I'm very picky. You can usually grab an Oscar, gt etc, but I feel the quality is poor unless it's a top notch LFS.

Personally I'd rather give my money to Rapps, COTA, Wetspot, & a few others for quality livestock. If you want a true red devil you don't have much of a choice.

I very rarely see "common" goldfish. Most of the cheap goldfish that I see in fish stores are "comet" goldfish, which are similar, but have longer tails.

Yepper, agreed.

TUIC and COTA are the guys I'm going to when I stock my new 300. When I invest this much energy into a build I want to buy the best stock I can find.

I’ve never seen killifish.

Wild form rams

Andinoacara coeruleopunctatus seem to be found everywhere in panama but they never seem to be avaliable.

I just wanted to comment that I went the online route after a bad LFS experience and I feel bad that if probably never go back to the LFS, even though there are others ones that look like they have quality stock.

As long as I order enough, it's actually cheaper for me to order online.

I've used Liveaquaria's Divers Den and Imperial Tropicals. Liveaquaria DD is how I started bc though they are more expensive, their Divers Den fish are quarantined and have a 14 day guarantee. The regular version also has the 14 day guarantee. Imperial Tropicals only changes $9.99 shipping (as long as it's not too cold) with a live arrival guarantee.

I'll probably order from Wetspot eventually but their shipping can be really expensive ($50+) unless you live near them. They did have a great Cyber Monday shiplshi promo that I'll try to use in 2019.

I also save on 10% tax online, though I brlibel legislation is changing that .
