Thanks for all the great info

I just got the sulfa bloacks together . . . One quick question, are they safe with other fish? Right now I am just keeping them with some hardy tankmates until he gets aggressive. Will the sulfa blocks harm the other fish?

I am going to give the FRT one of those sulfa bath dips once a month too (I just got a bottle today) to prevent fungus growth.

Oh yeah, how do I know if I am overfeeding my turtle? Right now I feed him twice a day, about 10-15 box turtle pellets in the morning and then I give him an hour of grazing on some turnip greens, zuchinni, and other vegetables at night. Is this too much? I can't really tell if he is full or not but he has certainly fatten up since I got him last week!

The sulpha blocks should be OK with fish since that med is also used to treat fish.
I don't know the age of your turtle so, I can't say whether or not its diet is OK. Whatever the schedule, keep it high on the veggie side and low on the animal protein side. I also strongly recommend no food every third day to allow the turtle's system to purge. Gotta face the fact that a captive turtle is nowhere near as active as a wild turtle. The purge regimen will keep the captive turtle healthier in the long run.
