Is 2.5" considerd yearling or adult? i know there are alot of fators on growth but about how old do you think he is?

Nice pics! That's why my stinkpots live with a female convict. When I got my first turtle, I dropped in a baby convict thinking the turtle would eat the fish but it never did. They've been living together for a few years without any issues. The convict actually pushes the turtles around sometimes.

He does chase them a bit but no luck yet on catching one. I wish he would get rid of them for me. I was using them as feeders for my bass and they learned when they see the net they bolt. They are extremely had to catch at this point.

Like i said i was thinking about picking up another turtle in a few months and was wondering about the razorback musk. Does anyone have any experience with mixing them and commons?

You should be fine mixing the two species as long as they are roughly the same size. Stinkpots sometimes will fight with similar looking species like Mississippi Mud Turtles. By the way, your Musk looks like the Northern variety going by it's coloring.
