Common or Gold wolf fish

From my experience gold wolves are just aggressive towards their own kind. I kept a trio of golds with about 6 or 7 bichirs and gars. The golds pretty much nipped each other all the time and left the others alone. Now my mala tolerates no one. Well he does let a small mystery snail share his tank but anything else will be killed. And like others have said, my mala is fairly active. I have floating plants blocking a lot of the light and i think this makes him more comfortable because he swims around more than one of my red wolves.

they'd hover together a lot. they didn't really patrol the tank together but they could usually chillin' in the upper mid area of the tank. that was when i had three. once one of them became sick and had to be removed from the tank the remaining two fought CONSTANTLY. i guess it's three (or more) or just one.

I've always wondered how 3 Golds would do in a tank together...
btw does anyone know where i could buy some gold wolf fishes ??
thanks

I've heard that gold wolves like to chase each other. I went to Shark Aquarium to buy wolf fish. I've heard that they sell all kinds but last time i went which is about 12 days ago, they only had "Hoplias Malabaricus, Hoplias Micro, and black wolf fish".
