I picked up 2 today at 1.5" and am growing them in a 16 gal for the time being til i can move them to a 30 growout. are these wild caught or just 'common'? i dont get it.

is there supposed to be a pic and I just cant see it? If not, how are we supposed to determine the oscars origins without more details?

Unless you ordered it special as a wild-caught I truly doubt it is. "Common" just means your garden variety Oscar. Who are every bit as 'cool' as wild-caughts in my eyes :-)

my camera isnt working. my lfs got them from his vendor. they are not tiger oscars. they have no red. they are heavily marbled with that bronze/gray color. much different pattern than a tiger.

can anyone post pics of an adult common oscar?
I've got tons but you'll find plenty in the Photo section of MFK, too. That won't do you much good in determining if what you've got is a common/Tiger though. Because like I said-juvies look way different than adults.
FYI: a 30 g isn't big enough for a 'grow-out' tank for 2 Oscars, not for longer than a few wks.
