at 1.5" a tiger can most deff look like a "wild" or "common" oscar. not saying yours is a tiger but dont be surprised if it is.

ive got them in a 16, then a 30 and i can house them in a 55 for a min but ultimately they will be going into a 125 when they are big enough not to get eaten at like 6 or 7". ill try to get pics tomorrow. but tigers came in with these too, they are different. these are 'common' ordered specially for me.
there really isnt so much of a "common" oscar to be honest.. they have more color variations than any other fish that i can think of.
best bet would be to get on google image search and type in "oscar cichlid" or "oscar fish" and see what looks like what you have.

time will tell. heres a pic of an O i had at 2", then about 6 months later.
