I reacted to those statements myself... but I can't say my reaction was quite "nothing"




Fish are animals, just like dogs and cats. They are not ornaments. You keep fish for them. For the fish. Not for you. By keeping fish in **** conditions for your own pleasure, and to the obvious detriment of the animals themself, you are ignorant and a terrible fishkeeper. Hopefully when your fish die you quit the hobby.

I hate saying that because you probably at some point had interest in the same hobby I did, and because you are around my age. But you can't keep ANY living thing in that kind of condition. A fish just like a Reptile or a mammal.

know whats funny is we all hate animal abuse but im only 16 and me and my family arent the richest we can barely get by so id appreciate it if you guys quit telling me what to do and what not seriously its going to my 55G for some time and besides you dont need water changes

well if it dies it dies but i dont even have a petsmart in my town? so i dont know how that even goes towards me and im sure i know they can be up to 2 feet in length but seriously i dont care if these fish die off ill just restart with an apprioate tank and im sure i know its animal that breathes? bro

My question for the OP is this: Why are you here? If this is your attitude towards fish, why would you join MFK? Obviously not to learn, because you dont listen. And from your grammar, we can tell learning is obviously not your strong suit.
So why would you join this forum and then why even post?

If one wants to get the most out of fish keeping, the very least one can do is to find out about what the fish needs.

This does not necessarily involve money.

Now to answer your question...I bought a couple of commons last Dec about an inch long, they are about 4 inches now. I feed them zucchinis and wafers. I also do 30% water changes every 3 days on my 100 gallon. For a 10 gallon tank, a 30% water change does not at all cost that much.
