Is there any stingray out there that can be put in regular aquiram with say rock, are do they all need to beon just the glass or sand? Looking to build an odd ball tank and though maybe a stingray would make a nice addition, but I really am in the research phase. Is there anything common out there?

Yeah, it was a serious question. This is supose to be a good place to get info about the Ray and other issues correct? So i thought i 'd ask the people that are living breeding rays. Anyway, yes I was wondering if there was a hardy ray that can with stand small gravel vs converting my tank over to sand or just plain glass which I don't think I want to do as this 300 gallon is a center piece of my formal living room. But thanks for the response anyway:confused:

P.reticulatus would be a good choice.

Thank you sir for your time and info.

As long as the gravel and rocks are not sharp, you'll be ok. Also, what are you planning on for tankmates? There are a lot of fish that don't do well with rays.

I was thinking to go with my 2 silver arro, 1 aramtas, royal knife (still on wish list) mono pbass, florida gar.

Thanks for all the help asn replies, but I was doing some research on rays, and to my surprise, I can't even have one in Florida. WOW, I am sureI have seen them forsale in pet shops though. They were not special looking or anything, just looked like regular brown rays. Thats sucks!
