Okay so I assume I can have them in Florida then? Becaue I know of one for sale at 5inches. Who fast do they grow, and being totally green to ray:screwy:, Is there any danger to rasing these rays, ie biting if you try ans handle them or stinging barbs etc.

There is no danger. If you want a ray, get a Potamotrygon reticulatus.

I dont know where he lives. I am only working with the information I have.

Also, if you know he lives in a state where rays are illegal, why dident you say so form the start?

Acting like a better knowing person dosent help.......

you where acting like a child before that.. ;)

But yes, you cant keep them in florida. Try and tell him that next time....

atlantic freshwater stingray, u can get them about 5-10 inches for really cheap and if you ask you lfs guy i bet he would get one in for you.

Dovii.... read up on Altantic rays in the sticky that was just posted..... Definetly not a good starter ray and probobly not a good one to have at all in considering the housing requirements..... The easiest way to figure out what will work in your tank is to figure out what will work with your Armatus. That is not only the centerpiece but also the deciding factor of what will and will NOT work. Really sux that you can't have rays....as they are the best tankmates for Armatus..... And don't let other people around here slow you down...the only way to learn is to ask....It's not your fault some people around here choose to be unhelpful and rude......Don't let that bother ya cause there's plenty here willing to actually HELP.
