I was in my lfs yesterday and they had dinosaur birchirs that were about 2-3" for about $8 so these are probly just senegal birchirs? And if they are is that a good price for them? Ive never kept a birchir before but am getting very very interested I love the look of them.

I have to agree with Uwe,
in Germany is also a worse treatment in specifing the Polypterus.
Sometimes the dealers shooting themselves in the leg.
You get a very rare one for less money,
later they want to charge 80 $ for a common senegalus
But for them is ok, its the money not the species

Now after reading this I'm not sure what I have. I guess I'll have to take some pics and post for a confirmed id. So ya I'll post in a few days I guess when I have my camera. Cus it was labeled dinosaur bichier but I was sure it's a senegal but now after seeing pics they all look similar. Mind you i'm kind of under the influence so we'll see futher in the morning. Maybe then I'll spot some differences.

my first 5 congicus turned out to be laps and now i have a congicus that everyone thinks is an endli.
to me the cong is most mislabeled.
