I volunteer with the kids at my church during Sunday school and sometimes for the local public TV station...you could do that.

I think volunteering at a local zoo or animal shelter is a great idea! (I'd do that myself, but would end up bringing home more animals than I can handle, lol)

you could volunteer for a marathon/bike race/charity run. good way to kill off some hours in one go
