Comparative Growth Rates (TSN V. Arowana)

What happened to all the fish in your 180 you said had on your profile? Any way it's your choice in the end. TSN have more narrow mouths then your a rtc would. Plus if the TSN gets to big and starts to really catch your arrow but the TSN in the well first no problem. Fish are more or less guessing games. If it can fit in its mouth there is a chance it will eat it. My tigrinus lived with 2 Paroon sharks since they where 1" they where 4" a month and a half later and he finally decided to eat them out of the blue. Also I kept a rtcxtsn with some turtles. They turtles first tried to eat him and within 5 months I walked downstairs to him choking in a turtle.... They both survived but same concept.

I have a silver and a tsn. When I git the silver 2 months ago it was the same size as the tsn. Now however the aro has grown 3 to 4 inches n the cat only about one inch. Silvers are real fast growers

I can say from experience that TSN do not have near the growth rate of a RTC or Silver Arow. They grow fast but not as. I have a RTC and TSN bought at the same time that where with in a inch of each other, the RTC is 24"+ and the TSN is 14"+ currently, feed the same things and had to seperate as i think the RTC can eat him. Every silver I've had seems to grow almost as fast as RTCs.

I think it would be fine, but it depends on how fast your arowana grows and how big it is now. It just depends on how long you plan to keep each fish.

:duh: the thread is almost two years old, the arowana has already outgrown the 180g tank, no matter what size it was when the thread was started.
