I've thought long and hard about what I would like to add to the tank with my atabapo's (I believe atabapo 1) and wanted to go with peacock bass. I currently have 3 atabapo's in a 220 gal tank and saw 3 rio orinoco temensis bass available that are 8 inches for sale. My atabapo's are around 8-10 inches.

Am I going to have any compatibility issues as they grow up? Current water temp is at 86 degrees and I have lots of driftwood. I would hate to hurt any of these expensive rare fish as they get older. Thanks for the input.

The tems will get HUGE, and you will eventually need to upgrade your tank to several hundred gallons...Also, the pike will only grow another 4 inches or less...The tems if cared for properly will get much bigger, and would probably eat the pike.

You could definitely get the pbass, but you'll have serious issues in the future.

Orino PBass might be a bit of a better size category for pike. They'll get big, but not big enough to eat a full size crenicichla.

I've personally never kept Temensis P-bass but hear they grow very quickly, But i have kept Attabapo IIs with an orino, dats, bichirs aros and some mild mannered cichlids with no problems. Its really hit and miss with chrenicichla in terms of compatability but I would say no with tems

Man that suxs to hear I'm sorry for ur loss but with temensis figure about an inch a week in growth maybe a lil slower I've been seeing 3-4 inches a month with my tems.
