The mbuna's no matter how small will shred the congo tetras fins and kill them eventually. Espicially demansoni.you could n't get much more aggresive then those guys. The knife and pleco will out grow the tank. Either do the two jacks in there. Or put in a ton of rockwork and do the mbuna.

You seem to focus on African cichlids. Remove the following.
3 - congo tetra (3.5 in)
1 - jack dempsey (5 in)
1 - golden jack dempsey (4 in)
1 - clown knife (5 in)
1 - common pleco (5 in)

I have some rock work...
ill try get some pics of my tank.

I'll try to rehome those JD's and congos asap

and ill look around for a good home for the clown knife. i have a 700 gallon pond with Koi that i could put him in (if its suitable)

How long can i keep the pleco before he has to be removed?
Or what do you recommend as my 'clean up crew'?
i was looking at putting in clown loaches, but I've gotten mixed answers about that.

thanks so much for the help guys!
aloooooha!

Heres a pic of my tank.

those little "particles" in the water are actually bubbles and water movement

Thanks Vaine !

it took alot of hardwork as the slate was from 16x16 floor tiles that i needed to chip to make look natural. it was totally worth it though

thanks again

I agree that you should keep to the africans. its a beautiful tank and with some more decor and rocks you shuold be able to throw quite a few cichlids in there, just watch their aggression
