Will a Red Tail Black shark pick on an Angel fish? If it will, then what kind of fish eat algae, is solitairy and isnt a bristle nose pleco.

Thanks

What size of tank? And do you have the angel already or the shark? Cus the shark isn't a huge algea eater, it'll graze on it but won't clear a tank of it. Also is there other fish you have or are considering?

They would be housed in a 55g tank. I don't have any of the fish yet. But my stocking would be:

1 golden gourami
1 blue german ram
1 cockatoo cichlid
1 angel fish
a few sailfin mollies

And maybe the shark.

I have a 1 1/2" Red Tail shark in a 75G with two 1 1/2" Angel fish; no interaction at all between them.

Regarding the one Angel fish you plan. I would suggest two. I had one Angel fish and he seemed very lonely. After a couple weeks I went back to the store and bought a second one (from the same tank I bought the first). What a difference; the two are inseparable. They both swim around the tank together constantly. I didn't realize Angels were schooling fish.

The single Red Tail shark, on the other hand, seems to be enjoying himself. I have an AC110 filter and he is constantly swimming up the flow and entering the filter. He swims around the bio-media bag for a few minutes, then takes the plunge down the out-flow slide. I had to add a plastic barrier to the glass hood to keep him from accidentally jumping up on it and getting stuck.

That mix would work with the shark. But I agree with vfc and would get at least a second angel. Especially if you can get a pair to begin with.

Thanks everyone :) I'm glad it will work. Some guy pm me about getting a Flag Tail Fish.......... those get huge :S so im defenatly not getting one of them.

why can't you go with a SAE?

well i have never seen them at my lfs. I know I can get the shark cause i see them all the time.

My RTBS Was an A** he chased and harassed everyone and didn't want anyone to eat. it was not strange to see a minor battle wound on any one of my fish.
