  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I dont do anything with the fry this is the second time they have bred. the first time they bred they died because i put so medicine in there to heal the green terrors that have terrorized but they are dead now!

Hey gourami are you sure your not thinking of red tail catfish? I didnt know irredescent sharks got that big.

He is right they can get absolutely friggin gigantic, and easily weigh over 100 lbs. The are a free swimming cat and will damage their noses and eyes in any store bought glass tank. I have heard that they like to school as well, but not sure about that, but anyways don't get it. If your convicts are breeding, they will attempt to terrorize almost any fish you put them with, even if the new fish is bigger. If they are not breeding, I would suggest salvini or sajicas

not true, put a lot of boundaries, ie: plants rock caves, anything that breaks sight between the cons and whatever u decide to put in

This may be true in a larger tank but a 55 gallon he is going to have trouble....trust me they wiil take over 90% of that tank during spawning no matter what you have in there for decor. I have bread cons over the years and they just dont tolorate tank mates during spawning.

I have had a jack dempsey once but i got rid of him when i change to salt water but now i am back to freshwater.... he was a pretty good fish he never caused trouble with all the other fish!
