I really like all the Madagascar Cichlids and want to set up a tank devoted to them. I'd like some help with avoiding crossbreading. What kinds can be kept together and what kinds will crossbreed?

Crossbreeding in a tank is not really a problem in my opinion, most instances malagasy fish eat the eggs and if you have a pair of separate species matting you can always destroy the eggs. It is an issue if you have two closely related species in a pond where you can't obseve the matted pair.
I agree with cichasoman, (especially about breding) but to avoid aggression, keeping species of a different genus together seems to work for me.
I have kept Paretroplus maculatus with Paratilapia, and even Ptychochromis species together, if they are relatively similar in size, and the tank is large enough.
The tank below is 6ft 130 gal, there are 4 Paratilapia, 4 Paretroplus maculatus (medium age), and some small/young Central Americans
