why do you need salt

just get a UV

salt as just a tonic is good... i always keep a lil in my tanks.....

so sea salt is bad for them?

sea salt usually has iodine and other minerals and elements that rays dont need plus they usually contain a buffer as well so best to avoid them and avoid any potential problems....
