I have a another thread discussing the possibility of exodons with a JD in a 90 gallon.. And got thumbs down for that mix.

Anyway, has anyone ever had Rams with a JD? I have never kept Rams before, but they are beautiful fish and I think they would make a great addition. I would just hate for them to get harassed..

Any opinions and comments are welcome. Thanks for reading.

Ram's would definantly be killed or eaten by the JD(just depends on the size differance). My ram's got killed by an anglefish! You might try salvini's, convicts or another JD. Spawning cichlids are fun to watch! Good luck and keep a close eye on whatever you add.

I'll shoot the ram idea down as well, unless you want some 'spensive feeders.

The JD would never harass them. They could live safely in it's stomach for days!

Rams are way too peaceful for the likes of a Jack Dempsey. If you want tank mates for the JD, I'd go with an Oscar and/or a shoal of Balas or Tinfoil Barbs

Thanks for the opinion, that is definetly a possibility.
