Hey everyone. I'm not too great with computers and I'm kind of stuck on something. I use a DVD burner called DVD Fab. It allows me to burn a dvd and record it to a blank one. However, I was given a CDR-700MB with a martial arts tournament on it. It played like a DVD but I can't burn it with DVD Fab. I don't know how the tournament was able to be put on a CDR. Can anyone show me how I can burn it into a DVD? Remember, I'm not too good with computers so make it simple for me. The Doctor

It can be a data cd ran as a auto play type deal on your pc or dvd player.. or even a file i think used by roxio and other brand name software out there i think they had a super vcd or something format much like you are talking about. But none the less it should be fairly easy when the cd is in your computer see if it will let you explore the disc from your My computer and whatever disc drive its located in by left clicking on the dvd drive. then let me know from there i can help you out and show you guides as they might be a little clearer to understand

But if it is a simple data disc you should be able to pull the video files off the cd and then put them in a folder off to the side and then burn then onto a dvd any way you wish. hope all this helps

Okay, so I left click on the drive it's in and it says files currently on the disc (3). Then it says CDI File Folder, MPEGAV File Folder and then VCD File Folder

You might have to rip it to your hard drive first, then use your burning software to make the copy. I'm not familiar with DVD fab, but I know you generally need 2 programs to copy a DVD...one to rip, one to burn. On my Mac, I use Mac The Ripper to rip and Toast to burn. For PC, check out AnyDVD and DVD2One, if they're both still around. Feel free to PM me if you have more specific ?'S.

Correct well i just wanted you to do this as it confirms as to what format the disc is and it is indeed Svcd.

That won't work as he isn't trying to rip a dvd he is trying to rip a cdr that is burned into the SVCD format Super video compact disc.., He will have to either get a cracked version of Isobuster or use a software that does it all in one. From SVCD to DVD
