Pictures of the newly hatched eggs. Appologize for the quality, I took them on my cell phone.
The little brown blob underneath the white shells are the wrigglers.

Mommy decided she didnt like that spot once Id moved the shell a bit so she decided to display them more prominently here:

I have some video of the two of them doing their spawning dance but havent been able to convert the file format to something a computer will recognize yet. Hopefully it will help other new con breeders know when their cons are ready.

Well, our wigglers are starting to swim around, mom and dad are doing a good job of coralling them though. I am curious if anyone has any advice for feeding the con fry to my other fish. My question is really how to make sure my fish get the fry and that they dont escape? Most of my tanks are planted to some extent and I dont want any cons mysteriously appearing in my other tanks months from now. Is there anything I could maybe use to make the fry sluggish before I drop them in ?

just feed a couple at a time and make sure the fish see and get them. if you dump a whole bunch in they're more likely to escape. anything that would slow them down would most likely affect the fish eating them, so i would pass on that. one exception might be to put a few in the fridge and let their body temps cool, but that seems a lot crueler to me than just throwing them in and letting them take their chances. it's less. . . . fair.
