concerning convict fry

As long as you keep the parents well fed and they're comfortable with your presence, they shouldn't eat their fry. They make good parents, but if you want, remove the parents after they become free swimming. You can feed them crushed flakes as well. And newly hatched brine shrimp should be good too.

The fry will be fine, you will at least get a few survivors I am sure. I wouldn't take the parents out even if they do start to eat the fry because it gives them an opportunity to learn.

ok kool

yea, if they eat the first spawn oh well. If you take them out they'll never learn to not eat them, and it's not like they won't breed again. I gave away a pair of cons because I was tired of them breeding, and then the 2 fry leftover that survived turned out to be a pair and now they're starting to breed.....

you need to remove the fry quite soonish mine all got eaten for 2 spawnings

eh, the first spawn generally doesn't go well, but what we're trying to say that convicts will breed ever 2-3 weeks if you let them. good luck
