concrete vs liner

there is a better product that you could use other than concrete.

there are a few different methods I have been toying with for my pond

you can use a liner in a wooded frame and use dry pack. it is in the concrete supply isle in your local home depot or other such store. just dump a bag on a piece of plywood and add enough water until it sticks together. form it how you want and in 24 hours it will be supper hard. this method is used to make custom showers.

there is another material that has just come out, but I can't remember what it is called. it is an orange cloth that is 100% water proof that you can put over wood with a thin coat of thin set. after that you can set your tile right over top of it. this is the method I am going to use for my pond. it is light and cheap.

the benifit of tile is that you can have a nice light pond that does not absorb all the light like a black tub or liner would..
