Hello all, I have a friend bringing me a dozen umbee x grammodes on Wednesday. Female umbee 6" x male grammodes 8".
I'm very interested in watching this grow out a bit, I have a spare 35g for the grow out....
Sounds crazy I know, get subbed for pics over the next few months.

I always feel the need to say that I don't really like hybrids, but then the curiosity overwhelms (especially in this case) to wonder what they will look like.. all in the name of science I guess lol.... just a thought, if this could happen could you imagine a Dovii umbee hybrid.... may not be a matter of if but when......

Same, he actually has a big male umbee that she was bought for but he hated her hence being in with the grammodes... he is giving me the female umbee so Umvii might happen yet!-)
He said he isn't selling any so most will likely become feeders, we are in kent UK so anyone nearby and responsible I may be able to hook you up for some fry?
The rest will likely become feeders as he isn't selling them and doesn't generally agree with hybrids.

There is an old thread on here where guys got an umbee and Dovii to pair. Even had eggs. But it's was from 2015 and hasn't been updated since. So I'm not sure what happened.

For sure a very interesting combination. I live near enough to Kent and I'd be willing to make a trip down to take some of the fry to grow out if that's possible?

Pm me you phone number pal.

Since the guy had a lose in the family I've not received any yet, he has 18 left biggest being 3", here is the only pic I have atm...
Ugly atm I think.
