I know it does but trust me, this guy is a 40yr old business owner, a respected guy with top quality fish, he doesn't own a parachromis lol... Grammodes look very parachromis anyhow, I should be getting some Sunday so I will get some better pics for you all!-)
Please do. Because there's no way that fish has any umbee blood in it lol. Possibly grammodes Parachromis hybrid.... but all parachromis species show those gill blotches when young. Neither grammodes or umbees do.

I too believe it looks mota or parachromis lol.
He keeps frontosa species tank, vieja species tank, grammodes and umbee.
The female umbee was getting beaten by the male so went in with his male grammodes...
Unless his male grammodes is actually a parachromis which I doubt I don't see how it can be a mistake.
I've just asked him for pics of the parents and if there were any other fish in the tank. I can pass the pics on if he replys shortly!-)
