confirming Black diamond stingray percentage

hey so I recently got a bd pup from a local breeder and I showed it to a few stingray breeders I knew online and they told me he wasn't a pure BD and was more likely a 75%. I just want to see what everyone else thinks before I start to make a fuss with the breeder I got him from. first two images are when I first got him, he was about 10-11cm diameter at the time. its been a month since I had him and now he's around 12-13cm diameter. I can see two rows of spikes but they're very short.

Today's definition of BD is any ray that's black and yellow or white...... lmao.

Everyone will have their own opinion. You can look through the old “BD” criteria and determine for yourself. Check off how many of the traits hold true. I’d be curious to see what the online breeders say is pure BD myself

To be “75% BD”, one parent would need to be 100% BD and the other 50%. In reality it’s a hybrid. Don’t let the sales gimmick get to you.

no the pup wasn't imported but his parents were. I paid around $3,200 USD for the little guy but in Australia a normal high quality BD goes for 5-6k. the ray in this pic can be sold in Australia for 3.5k USD at least usually. so my little guy is cheaper than average and so I wouldn't have minded if he was not as pretty as a normal BD but if he's a hybrid then I got scammed badly. 75% hybrids are only like $1,200 USD here.
