That is really good to hear! Hopefully some of this sense will rub off on other state cough*Michigan*cough:D . I think they are way overreacting about this situation anyways.

The only way to cross your boarders would be to raise their rent. As far as SHs crossing state b-o-r-d-e-r-s, the state realizes that some dwarf SH species may (*cough*) have been overlooked during private citizen's eradication efforts to comply with the ban. The state is turning a blind eye to newly permissible species that are already within the state lines and "asks" its citizens to maintain compliance with the federal "no-cross" regulations pertaining to state-to-state trafficing.

they talk about this like its drugs.... trafficing ha ha ha ha ha ha ..... theyre just fish not drugs....lol ....mass hysteria ... gotta love USA

LOL. I love the misspelling police. It really is like drug laws. It isn't illegal to be under the influence of drugs, only to possess them. But, by inference, if you are under the influence, you had to possess them at some point, but it is still not illegal to be under the influence.

Thank God fish laws are the same. I am totally under the influence of fish, but you can't arrest me for it!

Nobody is nobody can actually tell me WHERE they are being sold? Sounds fishy to me (Pun intended)
I would love to know where to get some.

Reason being is that we demanded a public hearing to discuss the then current situation, and we the fish "experts" explained to the judicial “experts” the flaws and the possible implication in their proposed ban of all channa species.
We provided actual stats for most tropical species which proved without a shadow of a doubt that these will not survive in MD waters all year.
We also presented stats and results from a control test done in Japan, where LMB and Channa Angus were both introduced to the same body of water and over a three to four year period the LMB had established dominance over all and the native species still strived.
We also had the poor implementation of the law done by VA as a good backup.
One cat came up from DC and broke it down nicely to the committee, he simply said; "You sir will be causing the same said problem that you are trying to prevent, when you tell your citizens that as of 13th Sept 2005 you will be committing a serious crime by keeping a fish of the channa species. What do you think they will do with their pets of 5 or 10 year??”"

Yes, my wife and family were a little disturbed that I will go and be so out-spoken about a “FISH” (actually did it for my caimans too). But fair is fair and the people that are in our judicial office are regular folks also. They will constantly need guidance from the masses to help them understand both sides of the “coin”, else my friends we will begin to live in “somebody” one-sided world.

A little long winded...........
Peace out!
