The difference on the tems and any cichlid species is:
Wild: Should have better color, fry would be worth more as fry will be f1's, may be more aggressive, may be harder to get to eat but usually with persistance it's not that hard. I have wild monos and it wasn't bad.
Captive: Cheaper, usually already eating well. Fry would be f2 at best.
