I think its going to drown, so put some airline tubing into its mouth and put the other end at the surface to act a a snorkle....Does it still breath?

Sadly it is real. This is the largest Ive ever seen it. I need to move some things around and put it in a spare tank to break this vicious eating cycle.
My congi shipped fine too... though his tail showed some fraying and discoloration at first, he also ate the first day despite the prophylactic parasite meds I threw in there. He (and everyone else) also survived my back hiatus, despite the less than stellar tank maintenance I was able to do for over a month, so pretty hardy in general!
As for fat fish... one of my ornates has the same obesity problem as the teug, except when I feed pellets it'll actually gorge itself so badly that it eventually regurgitates a bunch of it, then I end up with gross hikari puree floating around until the overflows suck them up *barf*
