My ornate ate a 5 inch clown loach when he was 8 inches long! Killed it and stripped it to the bone!

Some bichirs seem to have a taste for clown loaches. I think I lost 3 7-8" clown loaches to my lap snapping the pectoral fins.

My 14 Inch congicus ate 8 inche yoyo loache and it got stuck in his mouth and they both died

Use to have a large shoal of loaches. Never had a loss housed with polys but clowns like to snuggle too much.

I had a 15" Ornate eat a solid 10" Imperial Flower Loach fairly recently....serious bummer! Ornate is fine months later....

Also had a 13" Endli scarf down two 7" blue botias....he didnt survive that tho....

i'd also be alarmed about the harm that those switchblade like spines of those loaches would do to your congicus. but he turned out good. i guess your congi need not be clowned around!
