Oh ok,didn't notice that. Why though?I think he wanted to keep it African.
yes same thing for bush fish spotted perch i tend try not to use the word bush fish for different reasons when it comes to African fish discussion lol. Everytime someone says bush fish i keep thinking of fish out in the bushes they collected lol doing african lingo talk ?Arent spotted perch leopard bush fish? What did you mean by the higher end tetras?
I don't believe there are any that are cheaper. There are 'yellow congos' and Alestes tetras (3-4 spp in the hobby), but IME they are not that common, and are more expensive, not cheaper. I believe regular congo tetras are the only African tetras which are commonly bred in captivity and hence are cheaper. Very nice fish. I have noticed that of late (years), they seem to be weaker (genetics) and somewhat sickly, probably de to mass breeding and inbreeding. Are there any african tetras sold for less than $6 each? There just seem to be much cheaper dither fish options that won't get eaten like black skirt tetras or Blue/Red Colombian tetras.
Big kribs should do well. They are good at hiding and surviving, but no promises. Killies may be small enough to stay off the radar as long as they steer clear of the del. What about African killifish? Would kribs be fine?
