Hello my name is cody and i live in hamen connecticut. I know this is not true but sometimes i feel like the only person who is in to fish where i stay at. I mean none of friend are really into fish. I meet a couple of connecticut people from here. When i really got into this i was in norfolk, va . So when i moved back home i felt like i started over. i really do not know where or what lfs to go to or to frequent. I was just wondering where my fellow connecticut people at. Can you tell me your name , where you stay at in connecticut, what type of fish you have and tanks , Also what lfs you go to , the name and locations if that's alright . Thanks in advance

I live in Darien, CT. I have a 120 gallon tank with south american cichlids and catfish as well as a 30 gallon and 10 gallon. My favorite fish store is House of Fins in Greenwich, CT. I used to think that I was the only one interested in fish in my area. I actually got two of my friends onto fish. They both keep discus now, one has a breeding pair. I was talking about fish with one of these friends on the bus ride home one day, and the kid sitting behind us began to explain how he had an interest in fish as well. We have been friends ever since. He calls me all the time to talk about fish, and I look forward to it because I never get the chance to have a good fish conversation with anyone else. You might be surprised how many people you can meet who are into fish. I was in the grocery store one day, and I had a conversation about cichlids with the lady giving out free samples. Its a great way to make friends.

I live in Plainville, CT and I have a 125 gallon fish tank with a largemouth bass and two bluegills in it and also a 7 inch long crawdad. I have a 55 gallon with two pike shiners and 2 meduim size shiners and about 4 or 5 small goldfish in there. I have a 10 gallon with a bunch of feeders in there for Larry my 14 inch bass. This is just my bedroom then downstairs I have a 30 gallon fish tank with 4 largemouth bass in it all about 4 to 5 inches long. These are my fighters. My LFS is Petsmart and Petco and then PetARama in Southington. Im known in Plainville High for the kid with the pet bass. Many girls come into my bedroom to see him!

I forgot to mention myslef i have a 55 gal with a 6 inch butti, 5 inch rd. I have a pleco, a catfish and a mosiac gar. i have an empty 180 and a 125 gal in storage

My name is Ron I live in North Haven about 4 minutes from you and I also live in East Haven sometimes if I am staying with my dad. My tanks I have set up are 125: 7.5" male WC Managuense 9" male Barred Midas 40:7" male A. Diadema 6" Male Salvini 4" Male con 2x 2" Brochis 29: 4" Paratilapia Bleekeri 3/4" female pink con. 240: 13" male Beani, 13" male white Midas, 12" Female RD, 9" male Black Nasty 180: 1 gold sev 2 Rotkeil sevs 2 green sevs 4- 3" clown loaches. 55: Breeding angels 29: Angels growouts.

From the 240 on are at my fathers house in East Haven and technically they aren't mine they are my dads but I still do the maintenance and stuff so they are part mine. I think I PM'ed you the places I go a while ago. Anyways what are you doing with that 125 or 180 I would be happy to give you an offer for either one.

I live in NY but I almost took a job in CT at The House of Fins in Greenwich. Great fish store, best i have ever been to. Expensive place to live though. Don't know how close by you are to Greenwich but it's worth a drive. Don't know if you ever venture into NYC but there are plenty of fish folks and LFS there.

What's up? I live in Manchester. I have a 72 bowfront with a 6 to 7 inch wolf fish, a 6 inch jag, a 4 to 5 inch green terror, 2 to 3 inch convict, and a 5 inch golden chinese algae eater. 29 gallon has a breedning pair of convicts (with new fry!!!) a 35 gallon I just picked up has a few tiger barbs, a 5 inch senegal bichir, and I'll probably end up putting the convicts in the 35, and use the 29 for some exodons. Also have a 10 gal with an albino african 3 clawed frog, red tail shark, and 24 or so guppies who's numbers are ever dwindling because of Mr. Froggy.

Stores I frequent....Exotic Superpet in East Hartford, Aquatic Wildlife in Manchester, Animal City and Nor East Wet Pets both in Vernon.
