y do my cons always eat there eggs they are fertilized because they are like tanish!!!!!!

today when i woke up i only had like 10-20 eggs left and a couple were white could it be because they are really young under 1 inch.

Probably too young and immature to know how to care for them.

try and do a little research on them as well, i think with cons you might have to take one of the two out. Now positive though, usually one of the two will protect the other will try to eat them. Good luck

no u can leave both parents in and they both take care of the fry i breed cons for feeders but the smallest they are ever been when ther bred was the female at almost 2 inches, and the male at around 3

well my male is 2inch and my female is 1inch and ive breed them before but my latest pair was killed by an overly agressive angle so i had to get new ones

have some cons here that are funny aswell they breed and spawn ok then hatch the fry to free swimming stage then after a few days up to a couple of weeks they eat them, so this time going to take them away from them and put them in another tank-these cons are about an inch aswell

It could be that they are young inexperienced parents. If they feel the eggs are threatened by other fish, they are instictively protecting the eggs by eating them. This will happen with the fry also. Eventually through trial and error they will become excellent parents, which is bad news for the tankmates.
