Let me know how this goes. I have one around 11" that I have been hitting my head on a wall about. He has no intrest in any thing other than the midnight feeder, never seen him eat a feeder.

CKs can sometimes be tricky, but I haven't met a CK yet that will starve itself to death. Just got to play the waiting game. As long as you have it in there with other fish that are pellet trained, it will learn from them that they can eat pellets as well.

my ck wont even touch feeders, its annoying in a tank full of convicts fry. It will eat any kind of pellet i throw in that sinks. To switch him over i started dropping nls on top of bloodworm cubes and slowly started switching the ratios of them
Also i keep mine with a 10.5" buttikoferi convicts sydontis cat and rainbow sharks and only really had problems with the convicts with fry.
Will be moving it over to a tank full of parachromis soon and dont really expect much in the way of aggression as hell be slightly longer than all of them at close to a foot

Does it have to be other CK, or any fish that eats pellets. Problem is all my cichlids get it before he even knows what happened.
Ben I would be real interested in a post or sticky on how to change these guys over to pellets, like deislemack did with cichla. I know you're the man for the job.:headbang2

There are a couple of tricks to get them to eat. The other fish don't have to be other CKs. Another trick is sticking pellets into cut pieces of shrimp and/or fish, soaking pellets with shrimp and/or fish, Cichlas are real easy, IMO. Cichlas are one of those fish that I feel will eat once they are hungry enough. I'm actually in the process of trying to get my Albino CK to eat pellets. It seems that it's forgotten that pellets are edible since I've been feeding my tank Frozen Ghost Shrimp for a few months straight. I'll write something up for you guys;)
