where we have it for cheap
Hello All,

I have a 180 gallon with current occupants being 6 peacock bass , 3 bichirs, 1 flowerhorn, 2 convicts and 1 green terror. I currently have 1 fx5 hooked up and running and was wondering is this enuff. I have another fx5 that I am thinking about adding to this tank. Or would that be overkill?

I have a 155 hooked up to 2 fx5. And i have a aro, pike, florida gar, and a pleco. More filteration u have less worry and mataniance. I clean them out once every 3 months and their not even that dirty. Over kill in filtration is a postive thing.

Add it, on my 200 gallon i run 3 canisters for one fish. My well stocked 150 has sump, canister, and hob. You can never go wrong with more filtration especially with monsters. Like cheon said the more filtration the less maintenance youll have to do. Your fish will be happier too.

I would definitely get another fx5 or more preferably add a sump. It'll cost more b/c your tank isnt drilled, but its a lot better filtration.

You'd need an overflow box, sump tank(with biomedia), and pump. Then you would need to plumb it all together(ie with pvc).

sounds good but I already have another fx5 now. No need to imply more cost. Thanks for the input tho.
