I'm considering getting rid of everything except my kelberi to try to breed them. My two Bahia are both males, and I'm not 100% certain but I think my Ipatinga, Araguaia, and Sao Fran are all females. I would be getting rid of my Pinima, 3 Azuls, Curupira, and Wb sd's....I just wanted to get some opinions on it, what do you guys think?

It would be interesting to see a hybrid Bahia and LOVETHEMFISH Sao Fran!!:D

I'm hoping my ipatinga will breed with a Bahia, the sao Fran isn't mature enough yet, but that would be cool.

It would be a really amazing experience. But you have too much fish to discard, I can help you with this.

it won't be a hybrid at all.

Your right it won't be a hybrid because they're all kels. I know it won't be easy but I'm sure I could get rid of the others.

Just get another tank;)

Unfortunately it's not an option, I live in a condo and don't have the room.

Do it!! If it fail.. Then u can start to recollect again.. Keep yourself interested by trying new things... It's better to regret doing things than regret not doing anything at all.. Lol does that make sense... Good luck with your decision!!

What size tank do you plan to provide for breeding isde? Do you plan to put just a male & female in there or a male plus few females?

Thanks bro...that makes perfect sense.

The plan is to throw them all in my 300g (2m 4f), and if I notice anyone pairing up, I'll probably remove the others

That sounds awesome! I am excited to see if they will breed in an aquarium. Has it been done successfully before? I have only heard of doing it in a pond but haven't spent a lot of time reading on it. Either way good luck!
