Yea...I hate to give up my other bass but I just wanna bring something different to the cichla hobbyist, and I need a change....There's plenty of selective breeding and line breeding being done with other cichlid species and I would love to do something like that with cichla.

I get it, I personally have a hard time parting with any of my Cichla and hate seeing other good keepers do it. But I think your going in a good direction .

You really got the point.
Our big problem is just the long time Cichla takes to breed, selective breeding for Them is almost a life time work. A batch takes 1 to 3 years to mature, and this just sux.
Hope they would start breeding like guppies lol.
X2 bassguy I also have a hard time parting with my bass, isde your a great cichla keeper what ever route you take you have my support.
