Considering freshwater stingrays

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
mehh I know lots of people with snakeheads around here. if you have the space and want to take a ride outside of Texas to pick one up then do it. it's VERY difficult to get caught.

I'm a teen so I could only have one shipped. No car yet :/

Nah. Dude, as a teen...You don't want to start doing illegal stuff...Even if it does have to do with fish. Haha.

I'm in AZ, and I really /REALLY/ want freshwater rays, because I have the perfect space for it. But my parents probably wouldn't be happy with thousands of dollars in fines for keeping a certain type of fish I knew wasn't allowed here. Doubt yours would be too happy either. ;)

Lol very true. I'll just have to live without them then. Well does anyone have an suggestions for a different large, exotic, bottom dwelling fish that would work for me or do I need to post yet another thread about that? Cus I'd really rather not haha.

Pretty much everything that gets too big is being moved. The pacus will be thrown into a larger natural pond on our property which is huge.

Is this a pond in the ground outside? If so, that is how non-native fish get introduced into the wild sometimes. Flooding, birds, etc can help the fish escape. Not a good idea really.

Rtc, tsn....Rtcxtsn haha.

The pond goes into a ditch so flooding won't harm anything. And they are both females so they can't breed to create small pacus for birds to carry. I have no intensions to have little pacus in all our lakes and rivers haha I thought that one through. The only problem would be how cold it gets some years around here, but idk if thatll kill them or not. Just have to see I guess. It's creul to say but so true. Honestly though, I think pacus are one of the dumbest fish to have in the aquarium trade, and they sell them at PETSMART lmao.
