Werd. Best video rental business ever.
Also, Memoirs of a Geisha is a great movie.

Actually, this is a great response, very nicely done,andregurov;636304;636304 said:As a former BBV store manager - the best path you can probably take is to contact the regional manager. If there is something nefarious going on with your account or your rentals, it is probably not limited to just yourself. 90% of all shrink in the rental market is inside shrink, meaning that theft is 90% of the time due to employee error or theft. If the store manager already slighted you or treated you rudely, you are well within your bounds to take the concerns/complaints to the next authority, which should be the regional manager. Set up an appointment and present any evidence for misproper handling of your accounts to that person. If such treatment isn't isolated (and it rarely is) the regional manager WILL audit the store's transactions and your account, and can also review camera surveillance if necessary.
Try not to air your grievances as a personal matter, and be cordial, as I am certain you will be. If the company respects and truly wants your business, they will resolve whatever the issues are. If you desire to head off these problems in the future, walk you movie returns in and hand them over to an employee, and ask them to immediately check your return and log it back into inventory. Tell them to notate your account about problems with returns and generally make it look like you are insulating yourself from their errors. Time-consuming, yes. But a very sure way to eliminate abuse of your account.
The other approach is to ingratiate yourself to the staff. Yes, they are young. Yes, they appear to not care. But they are generally there because they enjoy films at some level. A few gracious words and a meaningful smile are often the quickest way to get an employee to watch out for your account. Or try Netflix![]()

While not fish related,I feel this is a good place to get advise on the matter as I know there big timers, high rollers, ballers, managers and supervisers of this and that and just a collection of people who have worked hard to get where they are now in general who will have great advise on this matter,so here it is:
I have had a membership at my local hollywood video for some 2.5 years, and everything was fine for awhile but in the last 8 or so months things have gotten ridiculous.
First I was told that I had never turned in Hostel, and that its late fees were racking up.I pointed out that with my membership I can check up to 3 movies at a time, and cannot check out new ones till the old ones are in,so if i never turned in hostel how do I currently have 3 movies out?In the end I had tocall their office and go through about 4 hours of getting yanked around and put on hold to clear it up.
About a month later I was told I late fees on "Memoirs of a Geisha" and as comical as it may seem now I was furious,I have never/would never have rented that movie,Its just not the MFK thing to do...In the end I had tocall their office and go through about 4 hours of getting yanked around and put on hold to clear it up.
At one point when I asked the store manager who was stocking movies at a sloth like pace if her store carried the movie "the thing" (a yes or no question I will point out) and she pointed at the long line at the counter and said something along the lines of "you need to get in line and ask one of my employees im busy"....Later almost exactly the same thing happened when I once again made the mistake of asking her a simple question, this time asking for terminator #1,and I will note that I later found out they carry neither of those movies.
now they're trying to accuse me of stealing the bonus features disc of a 2 disc set (clerks 2) when I returned it just how they gave it to me,with one disc.
I have looked on their website and wrote a letter and two emails (in all of which I stayed calm, collected, and respectful) to their headquarters in portland,OR with no results.
I know many people first thought will be "why are you still giving them your business?" but its because im a huge movie fan,but not a rich movie fan,and comparable memberships at my local blockbuster or showtime cost almost twice as much.In the end I would be hurting myself much worse than them.
so thats my rant, thanks for listening to me![]()

What can I do that will have the biggest impact in getting results.....preferably setting the store managers job in my targets......
