Constipated Midevil

My Midevil, flowerhorn hybrid or what ever he is- has what I assume is constipation. It's still really active but it's super bloated and not eating. It's also the only fish in the tank with that problem. I use Hikari cichlid gold and excel usually but I tried a small bag of tetra color a week ago none of the other fish seem affected, but the midevilhorn. Is there any kind of treatment I can do that won't affect my other fish?

Epsom salt 1 tsp per 5 gallons will help. Hold on feedings.

Uh oh...look for signs of white stringy poop. That's a sure sign of something wrong internally.

will the epsom salt be harmful to my other non cichlid fish? I also have an Albino Chocolate, Clown, Rubber plecos, Corydoras and Giant Danios

Should be fine. White stringy poop can be parasites so keep an eye out like mentioned.

Boiled shelled peas are also good if he is feeding and will take them...

if he isn't eating, I would suggest forcefeeding an Epsom salt solution with an eye dropper. It won't hurt the other fish in the tank though if you'd rather just dose the whole tank.

never tried but wonder if you could blend them and force food those as well.

Possibly, I use peas once a week, it gives them a clear out if you know what I mean.. very loose stools.
