Any moss should do fine in general, but it depends on whether you want the wall to flow down, up, or out. I used a board, spread the moss on it, and put netting overtop so the moss would stay attached. Then the moss grew over top the netting and stayed attached.

Im assuming that if you want a fast growth you should use Co2. Never tried to grow mosses before though.

Search Ebay for 'moss wall' there are a few vendors that sell a complete kit. Plastic mesh, suction cups, moss... should give you an idea of what needs to be done.
2 pieces of nylon mesh that you can get at craft stores, a little java moss in between them, sew the mesh together make a moss sandwich, suction cup to the back wall. 1 watt per gallon should be fine, you don't need co2 for moss, just light and the nitrates that are already there.
You may want to sand the nylon a little to give it a little texture for the moss to hold on to.

though the set up last for 3 months but there was no noticiable growth of my java moss also the metal netting rusted...
steps for a wall...
1. use a sturdy plastic net
2. using nylon thread tie the moss to a piece of the net which covers the whole tank wall!
3 take another piece of net of same dimensions place it above the first 1 such that the moss is sandwitch betweeb the two.
4. simply place this setup in ur tank....look for ne loose moss(if any) retie them vit thread.

I did this on my wife's 55 gallon tank. I used 2 pieces of pet screen from home depot cut to the size of the back wall. Also use a lot of moss. You need to make sure you get good coverage (no open spots) or you will have bare spots when the moss grows thru. I suggest attaching the moss in place on whatever back panel you decide to use otherwise when you place it in the tank it will fall to the bottom creating a huge bare spot. Been there done that already. I would load a picture but the mobile app is not putting them up for me. If you want any Java moss let me know I have a ton as this stuff grows everywhere.
