Is there any special procedure for this? Also, what would be best to clean the 10 gallon tank? The 10 gallon reptile tank has apparently been out of commission for over a year now.

just clean it with a little bleach and warm water... you should be good.

I would be cofident filling a 10g "reptile tank...."Anything bigger, I'd just fill it halfway with water and shore it with mud and gravel, making a beach hangout....Possible mangrove setup, hmm, maybe.....Archers and mudskippers......:naughty:

I thought I read somewhere that something in there urine, broke down the sealant (spelling?) than again, if it's only a 10gal what have you got to loose?

"Reptile tanks" are usually made with thinner glass... as they aren't made to hold water.

in a 10 tho you should be fine...or else just muster up the $8 it costs to buy a new fish one

Depends, I doubt they seal them in the same way either. I still bet 10 gallons looks like a lot on your floor.
