hi again, i was wondering if a convict cichlid could be a dither for a jag and texas cichlid. or it wouldnt be neccessary if they all grew up together thanks. plz reply.

those two fish are big and i think a big tank would be the main factor, they would look good together.
agreed....I've used female cons as target fish (not dithers) with the festae pair I used to have. I had about 4-6 female cons in a 125 with the festae pair and they got along fine. they were small enough and quick enough to escape any chases from the much larger festae and it kept the festae pair from turning on each other. I also had 2 males but once they got to a certain size the male festae obliterated them before I even knew anything was going on.
