i've breed convicts before its best if you dont want ur other fish getting beat up on then put the parents and fry in another tank or get a divider to separate them , the parents will protect their fry at all costs , ive had a pair take on my red devil n kill him and the red devil was near 10"

I wouldnt worry too much about protecting the fry. Let the other fish eat em. You're one step closer to a convict infestation, only snails are worse.
Can't sell convicts for very much... maybe $5 for the whole lot if you are lucky enough to find a buyer.
