Convict Win.
Whenever I read advice to new fish keepers it always seems like we make cichlids sound so fragile, but IME and from what I've seen and heard from many others, the majority of cichlids are very resilient. With that said, resilient or not, that is pretty incredible for a fish to survive a tank with no filtration, no aeration, no food, and no heater in a 50-60 degree environment for 2-3 days after it appeared non-breathing and still.
My advice is to never get rid of or sell that fish.
